A quick connect fitting is used to provide a quick, make-or-break connection of gas or liquid transfer lines. Quick connect fittings, which can be operated by hand, replace threaded or flanged connections, which require wrenches. Quick connect fittings with self-sealing valves will automatically contain any fluid in the line upon disconnection.
